My Dakar experience was a rich one and as a JCI member, getting involved with JCI Senegal members made my trip even richer.
I had established contacts with the National President. A very cool and simply guy called Kandji Thierno. Together and with other JCI Senegal board members, we arranged for me to conduct the JCI Achieve training and the Presenter Courses on May 25 and 26 respectively.
On Friday, May 24 2013 in the evening, Thierno and I visited the Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung Fondation, which was actually the training venue for both courses.
The next day, Saturday May 25, I was on time and ready to deliver the content of the JCI Achieve course to the 13 participants who came from most of JCI Senegal chapters. They were of different nationalities, different professional backgrounds yet, sharing and demonstrating the desire to accomplish the JCI mission which is the “to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change.”
After 3 hours of training during which I delivered material on the JCI Values, the JCI Identity, the Purpose of JCI and the JCI Product, most of the participants and I called it a day and agreed to meet the following day, at the same time for the Presenter course.
Another memorable JCI experience.
