2 Reasons Why Volunteering Matters

VolunteeringMatters.unv.org

Today is International Volunteer Day – a day to recognize volunteers for their efforts and to increase public awareness on their contribution to society.

To me, volunteering matters because:

  1. All the media joined together can’t successfully send the message across. Interpretation, role play, door to door and many other techniques – that volunteers use – are required for effective dissemination of information. That’s why I’m proud to be a blogger, online evangelist and member of Ogrnaisations promoting positive change.
  2. I believe service to humanity is the best of life and that man’s greatest treasure lies in human personality. Hence teaching skills to empower fellow men to be better is worth doing. That’s why I’m proud to be a trainer ready to brave distances to make the world even smaller.

There are certainly many more reasons out there, but why does volunteering matters to you? Drop a comment below to share your thoughts.
